Back
There has been no SlimStat activity for the last couple of months due to illness, but we’re back now and raring to go.
So what’s been happening while we were away? We noticed a large spike in hits due to a feature on Web Resources Depot. We’re very pleased that they gave us a good review, and even more pleased that downloads of SlimStat went through the roof!
We also saw that President Obama has appointed Edward Tufte, the master of stats, to the Recovery Independent Advisory Panel, “whose job is to track and explain $787 billion in recovery stimulus funds”. That’s great news, and we’re looking forward to seeing the fruits of his work.

Today
If you’re anything like us, you have SlimStat open in a browser tab for days (if not weeks) at a time, so you can quickly see how your site is doing today.
But if you last looked at SlimStat before today, you can’t just refresh the page, because it will still show the previous day’s stats. To get back to today, you have to click on the next number in the calendar.
SlimStat has a hidden feature that saves you from having to do this. Just add ?today to the end of the URL and SlimStat will always show you today’s stats when you refresh.
If you have logged into the demo, you can give it a try.
